Parking
We have limited onsite parking for $40 per night. There is also metered street parking, visitor spots, garages and apps (such as Spothero) that can be used to rent parking.
Luggage Storage
We recommend guests use an app called Bounce and do not have secure on-site storage.
Guest accessGuests have a fully furnished apartment and do not share facilities. There is a washer and dryer in the hallway on the top floor that guests can use.
Additional notesMany of our guests are long term, often academics, working on special projects. As such we seek out guests with common goals. This is a quiet building and we ask guests to refrain from loud conversation or playing loud music between the hours of 11 pm and 9 am. For monthly stays, electricity is monitored individually. Monthly cost in excess of $50 will passed on and charged to guest. Historical bills and usage are available upon request.

Neighborhood overviewThe South End is one of the most popular parts of Boston, drawing in visitors and locals with celebrity chef restaurants, shopping, popular tourist destinations, and beautiful victorian architecture. We are fortunate that our brownstone is surrounded by many of the best institutions. Everything is very close by and walkers will love being able to explore the city easily, whether it be going to Copley Square, Newbury Street, or the Boston Commons. The neighborhood is safe and family friendly.
Getting aroundThe Upton is conveniently located near and on several major transportation routes. There are many options for arriving to the property and getting around once you are here.
BACK BAY STATION
Local hub for the Orange Line, Amtrak, Commuter trains and the Logan Express bus
We’re a short walk from Back Bay Station. Exit onto Dartmouth Street and enjoy an easy stroll to The Upton.
BUS AND SILVER LINE
We’re directly on Tremont Street, served by several MBTA bus routes. For schedules and routes, visit mbta.com/rider_tools. The Silver Line (SL4) is a 5-minute walk from The Upton via Washington Street.

Logan Express (Back Bay Service):
Non-stop service between Logan Airport and Back Bay Station.
Free from the airport to Back Bay, and $3 for return.

Silver Line (MBTA):
From any terminal, take SL1 to South Station.
Transfer to SL4 toward Washington Street.
Get off at Union Park (5 stops). The Upton is a 6-minute walk from there.

Ride to State Street, transfer to the Orange Line.
Exit at Back Bay Station, then walk down Dartmouth Street to The Upton.
